Dear Network members,

As we are in the first few days of LCAM, I wanted to update you on the Network’s activities over the month, focused on earlier detection, and invite you to publicise and join these activities. Please find supporting communications materials attached to help you to publicise and join our activities.

If you haven’t already, please also feedback in our member survey, in support of the Year in Review 2024 report. You can do so here.

We are focusing our LCAM efforts on earlier detection, highlighting the critical opportunity to reduce deaths and improve quality of life and outcomes from the disease. We are aiming to showcase examples of earlier detection tools and strategies from a range of locations and health systems.

Network blog: What is being done to improve earlier detection of lung cancer?

  • Our new blog highlights some of the key challenges in earlier detection and how they are being overcome, showcased through case studies. This builds on last year’s earlier detection report, highlighting further approaches from around the world.

Social media and newsletter

  • Please look to our LinkedIn and X @LungPolicy feeds over the month for member insights and highlights from our earlier detection work.
  • We will be publishing our LCAM newsletter in late November, if you haven’t already then please let us know of your activities so we can showcase them. Please provide a short excerpt to be considered for inclusion in the newsletter.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out in case of any further questions, we look forward to hearing more from all of you about your ongoing LCAM activities!

With very best wishes,
